Anyway, you could use the interested in sports stereotype and show a young athlete unable to compete on a sports team and lead his team to the championship, because he was killed by a speeding motorist. Or, since young men are not completely heartless like we are portrayed, you could show the face of a young child that was killed by a young male speeding motorist.

A. Well, that depends upon how much you spend per month. If you are spending in excess of a million per month, then 10% is probably close, but may be a little low. However, I only spend about $10,000 per month, and my margins are usually above 50%. The smaller you are, the easier it is to find little niches where there is a large profit margin. You can't do that with a big budget, though, there aren't enough small niches available.

A. That's some amazing traffic you've got there. I would have thought you'd have emails every day with requests to buy advertising. I suggest visiting 10-12 websites similar to yours that sell advertising space. See what they are charging. That should help you come up with a fair and reasonable amount. As far as attracting advertisers, you'll need to add an "Advertise With Us" link leading to an order page. With 30,000 hits per month, I don't think you even need to spend any money on search marketing to attract advertisers.

A. What you need to do is get the ad dimensions from the magazine, this information will probably come with types of files accepted, how they can be supplied and other dimensions. Amongst the other dimensions will be a bleed area, assuming you are using a full page ad, that is the size you should create your file; there will be a trim area, that is the size the ad will be trimmed down to; there will probably also be a type or safe area, this is the area is where you can safely place type or critical information without it being trimmed off or obscured by the binding process this is a guide only try to avoid going right up to the edges. The file will probably need to be CMYK at 300dpi ( do not do anything less, you cannot enlarge photoshop… [cont.]
