A mask is an article normally worn on the face, typically for protection, concealment, performance, or amusement. Masks have been used since antiquity for both ceremonial and practical purposes. They are usually worn on the face, although they may also be positioned for effect elsewhere on the wearer's body, so in parts of Australia giant totem masks cover the body, whilst Inuit women use finger masks during storytelling and dancing. Q. I have really bad acne on my forehead and nose, and I have heard that there are some facial masks that can help, but all of them seem pretty expensive. Right now I use a facial mask every week, but it does not seem to be helping. Are there any natural, inexpensive face masks that I can try? I'm desperate! Asked by Joy - Sat Jun 6 15:03:53 2009 - - 8 Answers - 0 Comments A. Well I don't know about facial masks, but I had the same problem, so I started washing with the orange Neutrogena daily facial wash, and that started to help, but it wasn't working completely. So I went to the dermatologist and he prescribed me with Minocyclin, and it has done wonders on my face! The only downside to it is that it makes your skin more sensitive to the sun. For me, it has caused me to become darker, but for other people with fairer skin, it can cause burning. But if you wear sunblock it shouldn't be a problem. Hope this helps! Answered by blondie24ms - Sat Jun 6 15:16:56 2009 How long do you leave on facial masks?
Q. I have found some good facial masks on here, but people dont say how long they leave them on. Usually i leave it on for about 10 minutes, is that too long or too short? Asked by musicchick@rocketmail.com - Thu Jul 3 12:04:30 2008 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments A. Depending on the types of ingredients in the mask, and how sensitive your skin is to those ingredients, thats how you tell how long to leave it on. If your skin IS sensitive, a maximum of 10-15 minutes is best. If your skin isn't, then you can leave the mask on for up to 25 minutes. Usually a good amount of time is 10, but if you really want to fix the "problem" with your skin, then a longer time might be a bit better.
