A budget (from old French bougette, purse) is generally a list of all planned expenses and revenues. It is a plan for saving and spending. A budget is an important concept in microeconomics, which uses a budget line to illustrate the trade-offs between two or more goods. In other terms, a budget is an organizational plan stated in monetary terms.

In summary, the purpose of budgeting is to:

  1. Provide a forecast of revenues and expenditures i.e. construct a model of how our business might perform financially speaking if certain strategies, events and plans are carried out.
  2. Enable the actual financial operation of the business to be measured against the forecast.

Business start-up budget

The process of calculating the costs of starting a small business begins with a list of all necessary purchases including tangible assets (for example, equipment, inventory) and services (for example, remodeling, insurance), working capital, sources and collateral. The budget should contain a narrative explaining how you decided on the amount of this reserve and a description of the expected financial results of business activities. The assets should be valued with each and every cost. All other expenses are like labour factory overhead all freshmen expenses are also included into business budgeting

What do I need to become a personal budget consultant?
Q. I have been doing lots of research trying to find out if there are any certification requirements to become a personal budget consultant. I know Financial Planners need certification generally, but they tend to offer services like insurance, estate planning, and other things that I wouldn't be offering. I would focus on setting people up with a budget and helping them maintain the budget. Thanks I suppose I should mention my location, since that may influence the answer. I live in the state of Texas in the US.

Who was the last Republican president to produce a balanced budget?
Q. guess what... it was Dwight D. Eisenhower. That's right. The year 1960 was the last time the US had a balanced budget under a Republican president. Of course we had balanced budgets again under Clinton, who was the last Democrat to do so. So what makes Republicans think they are "fiscally responsible"? Why do they criticize the Democrats for overspending when they haven't balanced the budget in 50 years and a Democrat just did 10 years ago?

A. Bill Clinton used shady accounting practices. Lets shake things up and find someone who will use the veto to force a real balanced budget and who has the political will to enforce it.

How do budget cuts in education effect the students in the classroom?
Q. I am writing a paper for my college english class. It is a persuasive essay on how the recent budget cuts in public education funding have effected the quality of the education the students are receiving. I am looking for answers from teachers. I want to know how the budget cuts in any state ( not just MI) have effected the way you teach in your classroom and if it has how? Thanks so much, Shawn

A. It's affect. Anyway, the budget cuts in CA have led to larger classes and fewer materials other than just the basic textbooks, and there often aren't enough of those. Larger classes means less teacher time for each student and more subtly, less time for enrichment for brighter students, because we have to get everyone ready for the almighty standarized tests in May. There used to be programs for enrichment and also special needs, but many of these have been cut, especially at the top end. The teachers are trying, but the bigger classes mean more paperwork and assessments and since aides have been let go, fewer people to help out. Discipline is a problem because administrators are split between several schools and often there is no one in… [cont.]
